ABOUT ME

Hi, my name is Gracia Ester Tendean, but you can call me Gra or Cia. I was born on December 11, 2006, and I come from Tondegesan II Village, Kawangkoan District, Minahasa Regency.

I am a student at Manado State Polytechnic, majoring in Informatics Engineering. I am currently in my second semester.

SKILL

As an Informatics Engineering student, I am more familiar with software development. I specialize in programming, I am familiar with programming languages such as C, C++, and Python, which help me analyze data. My communication skills, including public speaking, support me in social interactions, teamwork, and even leadership.

EXPERIENCE

I have gained a lot of experience, especially in church organizations. I have been entrusted several times with leadership roles in various church-related organizations. I have also participated in several Christian youth competitions, such as the Bible Quiz, which strengthened my memorization skills, and the Psalm Reading competition, which helped me learn how to speak properly and clearly. However, the most memorable experience for me was the Exemplary Youth Selection competition. Through this, I learned many valuable skills, including public speaking, independence, and building confidence to present myself in front of an audience.

HOBBY

    Whenever I have free time, I like to spend it on my hobbies. My hobbies include watching videos, writing stories, baking, and playing music. Let me explain them one by one. I love watching videos, especially animated films from Studio Ghibli, because of their adorable visuals, lighthearted storylines, and beautiful animation. Writing stories is also a big part of me—I make time every day to write about my feelings or things I find hard to express in words. Baking is a hobby I inherited from my mother. Whenever we have free time at home, she and I love trying out different recipes because she believes that homemade food is always better. Lastly, listening to music is something I always do, whether I’m relaxing or working on assignments. I often sing along while listening to my favorite songs to stay calm and focused. I especially love Taylor Swift’s songs, which makes me a true Swifties!

FAMILY

    Let me tell you about my family. I am an only child, which has made my relationship with my parents very close. I see my mother as my best friend—I tell her everything—and I look up to my father as a role model. Since I was little, my parents have taught me to be active in church ministry, and that lesson has stayed with me until now. They always emphasize that education is the most important thing and that it is the greatest legacy they can give me. That is why, whenever I have the opportunity to develop my skills and abilities, I take it. I believe that every good thing I achieve will make them proud.

FRIENDSHIP

    I am very grateful that God has placed good friends around me who help me grow into a better person. My ministry friends have taught me that serving is a responsibility that must be fulfilled, no matter the situation. Sacrificing time, energy, and even money. My high school friends taught me that true friendship can last even when distance separates us. My college friends showed me that, no matter our backgrounds, we can stay united and work through challenges together. Some people say that genuine friendships in university are impossible, but I have experienced real friendships with my classmates in 2 TI 6. My childhood friends have shown me the true meaning of friendship—being there for each other in all circumstances, supporting one another, and respecting each other's decisions.

HOPES

    As an Informatics Engineering student, my hopes and dreams for the future are, of course, related to this field. Before achieving all of that, I want to be one of the best graduates alongside my classmates. After earning that achievement, I aspire to become a software engineer, allowing me to work from home. That way, I can work while traveling or complete my tasks more flexibly from home. Or, I want to hold a leadership position at work, so that when there is a project and I need to go to the field, I can wear a white helm.
